Back from vacation and found a little time to finish up the console and door panels. (except door lock buttons to be added later)

Anticipation, like the song, all those great parts will soon be coming together. What about the wheels?

They will come later.
Stock 8 lug wheels and white wall tires.

I appreciate it guys!
I was digging through my stash today trying to locate a power steering pump to no avail, so I went ahead and threw one together quick.
Just need to fill the hole in the tube and fashion a mounting bracket and I should be good to go.

I spent a good portion of the afternoon today working on engine parts.
Drilling holes for wiring, hoses and linkages, as well as fabricating a few small details, including a dip stick tube for the block, the beginnings of some carb linkage, and a linkage bracket for the intake, then primed and painted the primary engine parts in Scale Finishes "Pontiac Engine Blue" enamel.
Turned out quite well!

With the detail you create on your models, I'm surprised you're not cutting out the intake manifold to put a valley pan under it.

Hmmm, I hadn't thought of that.

Well, creative minds can be a bit warped at times. When I saw this picture of the individual engine pieces, it reminded me of an old heavy metal album cover I have.

Thanks Deuce!
Am I the only one that gets completely side tracked with detail?
I seem to do this all of the time where I start looking at a part, and ideas of how to improve it start forming in my brain, and before I know it, I'm modifying parts and making new ones!
This time it was the air cleaners.
I began wondering if there was something that I could do to make them look more realistic by doing something to replicate the exposed elements.
I decided to remove the lid from the existing air cleaners and fabricate a base, and my idea is to cover the exposed element with embossing powder to give some texture, and somewhat replicate the foam elements.
We'll see how they work out.

By all means, keep up the extraordinary detailing! Fram oil filters are the most distinctive ones out there, so they always look good when used.
