Can't wait to see this finished. HURRY UP, lol. Yes, polishing really pays off. I can spend up to about 10 hours polishing a model. Where do you get the gauge decals from? Are they model specific or do you make them yourself?
These particular gauge decals came from "Best Model Car Parts".
He does produce gauge sets for some vintage kits.

Thanks guys!
Not a lot of time to work lately, but I have gotten closer on some window cranks and interior door handles.
Got the front and vent window cranks done, as well as one door handle.
One more door handle and the rear window cranks to go.

What wait, a Grand Prix without power windows, sacrilegious?

That's because they were "sporty." The higher dollar 64s had power everything.

I thought about power window switches for this model, but the vast majority of photos that I have seen depict window cranks.
I added an automatic transmission and will be adding a power brake booster and heater blower to the '62 Catalina firewall that I'm using.
I figured that was enough goodies.

Ok, one had tilt and one had air, but you got me, I'm going back to the monistary and meditate until I see the light.

I've seen the light, well almost, I was looking at some 60 Tbird interior shots and wham it came to me this is a sporty personal luxury car just like the Buick Riviera, Olds Starfire, and Pontiac Grand Prix, the GTO was the real sporty one. My two cents, I just have to much time on my hands but don't tell my wife.

That's true.
The Grand Prix was initially introduced as a competitor to the Thunderbird and the Buick Riviera, as you said, as a kind of "sports luxury car".
Kind of a "bankers sports car" of sorts.
It was joined by Chevrolet in 1970 with the Monte Carlo.

I hit a slight snag with the body work recently when I wound up with a sheet of BMF that was not sticking as I would like, so after waiting for about a week for a new sheet to arrive, I'm back in action.
Got a little over half of the body foiled.

Surgical foiling. I've been bumed out by old crappy foil myself, very frustrating, but you can't stop now.

Thank you mack!
Finally finished up scratch building and chroming the vast majority of the small parts that needed it.
The interior window cranks and door handles were all scratch made.
The vacuum gauge and shifter are modified parts taken from other kits.
Antenna base is a Grandt Line rail road bolt and washer and the exterior door handles are from Fireball Modelworks.
I also made some door lock buttons and a blinker switch. (not pictured)

Looks sharp, Alclad or Spastix, sure isn't Molotow.

A little more interior work finished.
Got some foiling and detail painting finished on the door panels and rear seat.
I also added the carpet to the lower door panels, and then started some work on a set of pedals.
