A couple of "sneak peek" photos while I monkey around with test fitting.
So far, everything seems to be looking good.

That looks fantastic...Can't wait to see it all finished. Your hard work on updating this old kit up to today's standards is really paying off. Nice work!

Wheels are ready to install.
Steve
Wheel weights......valve stems...….sanding bottoms of tires flat......I really don't think there's ANYTHING more a person could add to these.

At this point I'm calling the re-worked steering wheel finished.

Oooooo that's a purty steering wheel , of course so is everything else about this build ! I think the flat spotted tires is the coolest trick I've seen in a long time . I've noticed it on some airplane models but never really thought about trying it on a car .

Thanks Bob.
If I had the steering wheel to do over again, I might have spent a little bit more time on it.
After I had already painted it, I thought about how it could have been much nicer if I had removed and replaced the column, and done the same with the horn button.
But isn't that the way it always is?
Flat spotting the tires was something that I had never thought of either until I saw someone using this idea on another forum, so I thought, what the hell, why not give it a shot?

Today I finished the interior.........again!
The re-worked steering wheel has been added. Otherwise, it remains the same as before.
I also finished up the foil, did a few touch-ups here and there, and did the panel lines on the body.
Next will be the inside of the roof.

I've been emailing pics of this build to my Oldsmobile buddy. He's amazed at the detail you've created. I am as well.

Thanks deuce!
Here's a trick that I have been wanting to try, and this project seems as good as any to try it on.
I want to replace the kit glass with something thinner, so I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and add the interior A pillar covers.
This not only adds that visual detail, it also creates friction for a precisely cut piece of clear film to fit snugly without any glue at all.
I will glue this glass in at the base at the very least to ensure that it does not move, but this technique eliminates a lot of model car "glass issues" that we all deal with.

Not much happened today, but I did manage to get a couple of really nice engine bay decals installed, provided by Bob, (TooOld).
Really nice stuff, and very gracious of him to make these for me.
Clear decals applied over foil.
I also got the tint band painted on the windshield.
