Due to some prompting from a member of another forum, I decided to do a little more refining of the steering wheel.
The spokes have been thinned, and the holes in them opened.
It will now be stripped and repainted.

Big improvement to the steering wheel ! As usual your interior is a model all by itself .

Just messing with some little stuff today, like whipping up a set of rear shocks.

That looks really good. I've always had mixed feelings about some of the old MPC kits. Hit or miss I guess but this chassis here is definitely a hit.

Well, I decided it was time to stop procrastinating and start polishing the body.
I completely hate the polishing process, but absolutely love the results!

I find that a picture or an online image gives me inspiration, but my mind always drifts and I find myself cutting through the clear coat. But you have knocked it out of the park. Now hurry up so we can see a mock up!

I used to have the "cutting through the clear coat" issue as well.
I have settled upon using a LOT of clear coat to prevent this.
The Duplicolor clear that I use goes on very thin making it possible to apply multiple coats without hiding detail and helps to give sufficient thickness to prevent it.
This body has 5 coats of Duplicolor clear over the color coats.

Thanks folks!
Finished up some chassis work today by finishing the scratch made rear shocks and installing them along with the rest of the rear suspension and the back portion of the exhaust.
Then I detailed the firewall.
I also "flat spotted" the tires in preparation for installation.

Looks to me like you sanded them flat, if you did that's a cool idea.
