Up next will be another full detail build of this 1964 Pontiac Bonneville.
First order of business was a 3mm stretch of the Moebius '61 Chassis.

Are we talking black on turquoise or turquoise on black? What ever, I'm looking forward to a interesting build!

Wow that has to be the best fitting top I've ever seen ! Is it the kit top or resin ?
Always liked the 64's , don't see enough of them and it will look great in Turquoise .

Where did you get the 64 Bonneville body? I'd love to build one for my brother.

That chassis stretch is beautiful! Don't even tell me you did it with only a minute's thought. What a great model this is gonna be! Gary

No black.
Either turquoise with a white top and turquoise interior, or white with a white top and turquoise interior.

It's a kit top from another kit.
I've already done a few mods to correct the top fit, but I still have more to do.

I picked up 3 original AMT '64 Bonnevilles in various condition on ebay about 6 or 8 years ago.
One convertible with custom parts attached, one hard top with a broken front quarter panel, and this pristine body.
I saved all of the best parts from the 3 for this build and traded off the rest a couple of years ago.

No, I put a little thought into where on the chassis I wanted to add the material, but the stretch itself didn't take too long.
It's currently being filled and sanded before I move on to other things.

That makes sense now , no kit top fits the windshield that nice without some work . I can see the rear needs a little work but that's the easy part .

Time for a few more updates.
Continuing with the top modifications, I first added some beading around the side window openings, and then began with the addition of boot trim and snaps.
While in the midst of these items, I decided to try my hand at creating a fuel door molding.
I had seen these on a few of my research examples and thought it might add a unique and interesting touch.
All the while, taking a little time here and there to scribe and re-scribe panel and trim lines.
