I got a few pics of my brother's Bonneville while I was up his way a few weeks ago. He's too poor to put any money into it, but he's had it for 50 years now, and while I know he'd let it go for the right price, he'd rather wait until he can do something, which will never happen.

Thanks guys!
More updates.
I've begun the preliminaries required for the layout of the engine bay by modifying the firewall and grinding out a portion of the radiator bulkhead for replacement with parts from the Moebius kit.
Everything seems to be in order.

Next, one of the most involved aspects of this project.....the interior.
Being an open car, I want to be sure that the interior is as nice as possible.
This is what I started with.
My first order of business was to cut apart the tub and begin updating the door panels.
I decided to cut out the existing fine pleats and replace them with ribbed stock for more definition.
Then I re-scribed, and reshaped the remainder of the door card and replaced all of the trim.
I decided to get rid of the rather cheesy looking rear speaker grille, and replace it.
I cut out the existing speaker, stole one from a Monogram '59 Impala, and modified it to more closely resemble the Pontiac grille with some PE grille material, some aluminum stock and some wire.
Then I began working on filling in the missing rear seat/door panel areas.

Next, I began some work on the front seats.
First I separated the front seat/console unit, ( the console won't be used in this project) and then began the task of modifying the "seat mold draft" by removing the front of the seat base, cutting out a pie section, and replacing the section in a rearward slant like the 1:1 seat.
Then some filling and reshaping to give the seats a more realistic shape.
Then I began some detail work, such as removing and replacing seat back detail and piping, adding seat buttons, and some scribing of the trim and seat cushion separations.
Finally, I started some refitting of a top boot from the Monogram '59 Impala for optional top up or top down display.

Hi guys!
Haven't posted progress on this project for some time, so it's time to play catch up.
Made a considerable amount of progress on the interior, up top and boot in the past few months, but still have a long way to go.
Mostly parts modifications and fabrication, but the interior and top parts are nearly finished.
A lot of scratch made parts have been made, including such parts as new bright work on the dash, as well as new dash knobs, dash mounted tach, ash tray, steering column collar and ignition switch.
New ash tray and interior light detail was added to the rear door panels and new arm rests were constructed.
A new shift boot and dimmer switch were added to the floor plate and parking brake and vent knobs added to the dash.
New sun visors were also scratch made.
Mods include a modified steering wheel and revamped pedals.
The up top was extensively modified, and the top boot had more detail added as well.
Lots of pics to add, so bear with me.

Thinking that I finally have the removable magnetic hood hinges pretty much wrapped up.
