Also, I'm going to build one of those left-over-bits models. I can no longer build a four-wheel-drive Bronco because I used two of the off-road tyres on my Ford Service Truck and I aint got no more. So I'm going to build it up as a sort of Street Freak Hot Rod thing. The Roof is from an abandoned '58 T-Bird project, it's already chopped and fits like a glove. The aero-foil was scratch built years ago, but not used. I plan to cut a big hole in the bonnet and I'm hoping to get the motor poking up higher than the roof. And just to make things interesting (difficult) I'm going to use these fat Super-Modified tyres on the back. Watch this space.

Thought I would share my progress on the Ford Bronco. I glued the Thunderbird roof on and made some "A" posts. The bottom edge of the body has been given a bit of a wedge and the rear arches have been opened up. I wanted a nice gloss black paint finish but the cheap-old aerosol I was using wouldn't play ball, so I gave it a top coat of matt black. Not sure if I will use the rear wing - I'll see what direction it takes. Next up I'm going to build the motor.

Spike, may I suggest a little rabbit trail for you to run with the color and patina you have now. Research the predecessor to the A-10 Thunderbolt, a nice little bird called the OV-10 Bronco. Maybe you can title your build "The OHV-10" ? OHV for Off Highway Vehicle. Source: blackpony.org/v4-ov10abuno.htm

Now that's thinking outside the box! Can't say that I know anything about planes, but I like the connection.

Kind of a mad-hatter type connection, as the OV-10 first flew in 1965. Annnnndddd? The first year of the Ford bronco was? Yep! 1965!

Excuse the rubbish phone picture, but I thought I would share the progress on my Street Freak Bronco. I have fitted and tinted the glass and started detailing the body, but more importantly, I have build a "high" motor to poke up through that big hole in the bonnet. Next up will be a chassis to support all the bits.

As we roll into a new year I have been thinking about what I want to build in 2024. After a bit of thought and some time on Ebay, I've purchased my next project - a Ford C-600 cake van and a '57 Ford Del-Rio Ranch Wagon. The wagon is going to be a gasser, (and yes I know that Monogram/Revell sold a gasser version, but not easy to find in the UK), and the C600 will be a flat-bed car hauler. I and also ordered a fresh batch of decals from Slixx. Watch this space...

Progress. The Ranch Wagon and C600 are pretty much ready for paint. I'm just waiting for some warm, dry weather, then I will transform my shed into a spray booth once more. We seemed to have had rain for the past 6 months here in the UK - perhaps I should move to Arizona. In the meantime I am thinking about how I can turn this '56 T-Bird into an over-the-top Gasser. The monster Cammer is from the Tom Daniel's Vandal, which I have abandoned and the injection stacks are from a TD Trouble Maker which has seen better days.

Hey Spike
I live in Arizona, for the last 6 months it rains every 8 days, and not just rain, but Hurricane style storms every week. It ripped one of my 10x20 steel carports from its footing and placed it on my neighbors roof, I had to go out in the storm and cut it off the roof before the power came back on, and of course in the storm I got knocked off the ladder and busted up my ankle, but had to keep working. The Humidity is so high I can't resin cast this whole time. I've been here 44 years, the worst I've seen. I had an auto paint shop all my life, this would have put me out of business, if I wasn't already, LOL It seems everyone is having this kind of weather.
Enough about me, I like the direction of your T-Bird
Jim

OK scratch Arizona, I sounds like you have it a lot worse than damp old West Sussex. Thanks for your comments.

Good old Ebay. Just purchased most of the parts from a Lindberg Tall T. I've given it some thought and decided to combine it with the nose cone from an Eagle Indy car that's been rattling around in my bits box for years. It's going to be a bit odd, but I like that sort of thing.

I've had a bit of spare time recently, and finally the weather is on my side, so I have been painting bodies. I'll post more pictures in a day or so, but I thought I would share my progress on the Tall-T. I've built a chassis and prepared the axles and wheels and as you can see below, painted it mustard-yellow. When the paint is hard enough for masking tape I'll paint the roof black.

More bodies painted which should last me for a few months. I'm going to crack on with the ramp-truck first.
