Frame and body back from the paint shop, so work proceeding. I've installed the motor, plumbed in the radiator and added the fuel line. Next up, I'll attach the suspension parts and then start on the interior.

Over the past couple of weeks I've spent a bit of time getting some kits into paint. I've got two more to do, a '58 Impala and a '31 Ford Coupe, then I'll have enough to last me several months. The El Camino is just straight metallic gold and will be built up as a mild custom. As you can see, I've cut the roof out of the '36 Ford to make a phantom cabriolet. (I don't think Ford ever built one like this.) The paint is metallic brown with gold faded up from the base of the body, but not the wings (fenders). I will probably go with white walls and full hub caps in a 1950's style. The '41 Plymouth gasser has 2 coats of grey primer, followed by a coat of silver. This has given the metallic green top coats a real glow. I've got a pair of "Green Mamba" decals from Slixx waiting for this baby. Please excuse the rubbish phone pictures, I'll take some proper camera images when they are complete.

I've done some work on the Ford Fooler, my aim being to get the body and frame ready for painting this summer. I thought the body was too dumpy and uninteresting, so I cut the wheel arches open and then inserted the spare inner wings from my Revell '31 Ford Coupe. I am also going to use the left over chassis from the same kit. The lower edges of the body have been cut off and shaped and I removed the half fire-wall so that I could insert a simpler plastic card one from behind.

Ford Fooler is now painted and I've made a start on the wheels - all 6 of them. The radiator grille came with an AMT Gremlin kit, I think it was for one of those Seventies custom versions.

How about a front view of the radiator? Dualies and a light army green. Didn't see that coming. I'm intrigued. Keep it coming Spike.

Looking good, Spike
Love the color on the 58 and the Fooler. Are they the same color? Tell us about the brand of paint and color name. Also dig the duallys on the Fooler, keep them on.
Keep up the good work
Jim
