I like that GTO Match Racer artwork , seems like they did one for a Bonneville too . That Cyclone Funny Car box used to be mine , I sold it maybe 5 years ago ! I wrote "2' on it because at one time there were 2 kits in the box , don't know what the tape is for . Guess I ruined a good box art . Found this old photo on my computer .

Ooo yeah , something about that Bonneville done up as a rear engine Funny Car really tugs at me , sure would like to find one !
And I always regretted selling that Cyclone , so I recently replaced it and this time the box is in near perfect condition ! Only thing it's missing is those Dyno Don decals .

Wow, never seen that AMT Paint Rack before! Very cool box arts, I always enjoy seeing these old model kit boxes.
I think it's very good that Round 2 has done several of their recent reissues with the original box arts. I know some people say that box art doesn't matter, but to me a good box art makes a kit lot more desirable, even though the parts inside the box were exactly the same. I will buy a kit regardless of the boxart if the model itself is interesting, but several times a good looking box art catches my eyes on the store and I start thinking "I need that", even though I originally wasn't that seriously considering of buying that kit.

I have been lusting for one of those Futurista models for a long time. Preferably cleanly built so I don't have to, with the box, almost the most important part. Always liked that thing since I was a kid; never had one back then either.

With one of these to go with it ....

I like that part about the Leva car being designed "to permit ground travel in the 200 to 500 miles per hour range". Right. That thing or any similar prototypes I ever heard of never really made it over ten mph, and that was only for very short distances, like the length of a parking lot. Its amazing the hype back in those days of mythical, mystical science and the mutual benefits of the atom. Turns out there were none, mutual benefits that is. And all that leisure time we were supposed to have in the future turned into unemployment.
