I have added good friend Ron aka Fordrodnkustom as an admin. He's already a moderator on TRaK for me and I trust he is willing to help and you can go to him if need be. THANKS RON!

make it to where we can post more than three pics per thread...that would help a lot when it comes to needing help with things As far as I know there isn't a 3 photo limit on threads. The other day I posted a finished build and posted more than 10, I'm sure. The three picture limit is for the Model of the Month submissions so folks can easily review them, and to quote Bob, "To help speed up load times for those with dial up and horrible computers.".

when I ad photos to a new thread it only allows me to ad three per post...how are you doing it different Most people use a photo hosting site (photobucket, flikr, etc) and copy and past the bbcode and such. I'm sure there is a limit on attachments because its a free board and in order to change that I'm sure it would cost them something.

I know there isn't a limit on posting photos per thread. Maybe there is a default limit for "uploads" though. If you are posting photos to the forum and uploading them, it's going to limit you as we don't have unlimited space. I recommend only uploading photos for temporary use because once the limit is reached...we have no room and the forum will run slower.
As pointed out above, fotki or photobucket are excellent places to host your photos free or pay and you can post them here as shown in the link Ron posted.
If we want limitless storage and no ads....we can surely get that , but it's costly. Right now this forum is free and I kinda like that lol

I've been gone for a while too . . . no real reason just being lazy . But I'm back now and will be posting regularly again ! I don't see any need to make changes to this forum unless you just want to tweak it here and there , I think it's one of the better organized forum around ! I've also noticed that the other modeling forums are going thru the same things as far as being slow and members disappearing , but there is also a new bunch of modelers joining up so maybe it's not all bad news . The DPMCC looks to be going thru the same growing pains as I see some of the regulars are still here and there are quite a few new names , a couple that I recognize from other forums . So thank you Bob Black for your efforts here and on the Fotki site . You may not hear it very often but it is appreciated ! BOB .

This site has a better looking layout than some of the others,,my deal is that,,Im busy with work and such I dont get too much time to do web stuff,,I think all's cool here. I see some better stuff built here,,than alot of the other sites,,but its all relative,,some are just starting out,,and if I had pics of some of my early stuff,,I probably wouldnt post it lol,,,,but ya gotta start somewhere,,and I support anybody whos at least trying to build something.

Agreed. Looks like all the modeling forums I check into are slow now. It happens every year at this time. Summer vacations or is everyone on Facebook now?

In rereading the comments here since the new year began I am disappointed in the low level of participation. In some other model forums there is zero action. I don't fault the "regulars" here. The shrinkage of the hobby generally and the aging of many builders has taken its toll. With models no longer sold at many stores (Toys 'R' Us, Wal*Mart, etc) there simply is less interest. The best we who are here can do is post a bit more, build a bit more (or post some long ago early models) and try to get members of local model clubs and convention/flea market attendees to try these fine online clubs. It's asking a lot, but the hobby can only thrive if folks come and participate. Anyone know builders who aren't yet going to the web for model interest? Tell them what they're missing.
