I have finally deceided on the shed placement. I originally was going to place it back by the creek, but it just didn't look or fit right.

Had a pleasant morning in the studio. Did a little work on the walls of the shed, then I pulled off the paper stuff for a change and went to rounding up, and making junk to spread around. Don't know what that large engine came from, but I drilled it out some. It'll lay around in the weeds somewhere. That portion of bench seat will probably end up in the creek ;D

Haven't updated this in a while. Looks like I omitted the photo in my last post, but it's mostly been doing some small stuff that will show uo in future photos. Chain fall in the tree, junk engine below it, more foliage in tree, etc. Trying to get a little detail inside the shed that may be visible through the window openings. Not planning to go overboard, this'll probably be it Plus, I'm framing a roof that will lift off (not sure why). Using the old fashioned model airplane method ;D These are all cut boards from picture framing matt board.

I sure do seem to jump around on this build. Now looka here, I put very little effort into detailing the underside of a model car, yet today, I put brown craft paper [headliner] on the underside of the shed roof, waterstained and ripped down some hangy parts !!!!! Who in the world's ever gonna notice this Sometimes, even I, wonder about me I did get the back wall and the door portals on it also.

this is awesome Clay! you should share it on TRaK also under the "diorama" board! there are so many elements of this that remind me of buildings I have seen in Montana and across Nebraska while on the highway.

Thanks, Bob ! But, the last build of mine (Depot Hack) I shared on TRaK, I was instantly reminded (by an longtime regular) that as vintage and nice as it was, it was neither a rod or custom. This was a familiar experiance as TraK became more and more popular. As for this, I am adding weeds and the other junker alongside the shed. I have no delusions as to the permanancy of this dio, for the weeds I'm using are becoming increasingly more fragile each day. The upside is, that I'm enjoying the creating of this much more than the idea of 'having' it. Besides when it's done, I'll just have to find a place to stash it. May just tear it down and have the fotos to reflect on.

like I said..post it, but if you don't want to...it's not a big deal. There will always be people, including me to remind anyone if their build doesn't fit the guidelines....that's just how TRaK is, you know that. I love your dio man, if ya wanna part with it let me know.

Thank you all. Working with these weeds, I am realising that I have had anal itching that was less agravating than this. My last experiment with trying to preserve weeds was dipping them in tinted Pledge, thinking that being encased in acrylic should be just the berries. But the opposite happened. They turned extremely brittle. My earlier batches soaked in thinned oilbased paint are in much better shape. (info, In case anyone is thinking of trying this) . But, I'm pressing on, weeding the junker alongside the shed.

You've done some nice work on this Clay. I especially like the weeded in junkers.

I'm never gonna get the really overgrown look I want with the way I'm doing this. Running out of suitable weed material also. Got me to pondering. Early on in this post I commented on not wanting a phony Model RR look with litchen and the like. Probably a lot of you would have to get litchen from yer local hobby shop. My LHS is 30 miles away. However, I can walk down my road 150 feet or so, turn into the woods, and will come upon a mother lode within 20/30 feet. I thought I'd see what I could do with some this morning, I took a sprig and sprayed it with brown primer. I then sprayed the sprig with spray glue and dipped it in some crumbled brittle weed leaves. Planted it in the front corner with a couple of other weeds. Not too bad. Will have to make up some more ;D
