Some of you may not be fishermen, but I can tell yer waiting for this next episode with baited breath. I took a pfoto of the door in all of it's naked cardboard parts and then proceeded to detail it. Took this finish photo and then took the camera in to load it into the PC. Raw cardboard foto was WAY out of focus, but trust me, it's all cardboard except for the glass panes/shards..

Getting close to getting the walls detailed so I can finally assemble them and get on to some other stuff.... like roofs, sheds, ground, streams, cars, pumps, sky, rainbows, birds, walls, apron. and, uh..... whatever! I just have to work in some tarpaper reminants on the front and back walls

This morning I tackled the front piece. I grained the back of the false front 'cause that'll be visible from rear views. Yesterday, I made a sign for the front, and this morning made some lights. Using some parts box baby moon hubcaps. I stripped a piece of wire as shown. The foto of the next step didn't turn out, but what I did was cut the wire off at one end of the sleeve, then pulled it halfway thru. This left a hollow at one end that will repesent an empty light socket in the inside of the light and left enough of the sleeve to repesent a small housing on the outside. Simple and effective Installed. Might have to tone them down a little, but getting close to joining the walls and start on the roofs.

Getting anxious to get past this building and move on. Close, But I wish I had addressed these crappy brick corners before all tha delicate detailing So, while that was setting up, I went ahead and laid out a screen door to hang off the front. when I had cut out the openings, I found out that I had used the box top and the backside had the glossy printing. Used it anyway and painted the back black. Using the screening from an automotive paint strainer. ready to be hung later.

Main bldg. is at a stage that I will have to 'plant' it to start building off of it. Here's the front apron with a relic, that will go in the back somewhere, to check the clearances. And the canopy supports. Used a couple of Tichy Train barrel lids and bolts for the bottom. Tubes are from an oversize straw, courtesy of Beef O Bradys

pulled off to make an accessory piece of marker barrel, piece of bead tube and cap, some alum tube, some beads, Ford hubcap, wire and guitar strings. Now, I have some reference fotos of old pumps, (Beacon, Bowser, etc.) but I have them for reference only. I didn't try to duplicate them at all, I just wanted the flavor of them . Paint doesn't want to stick to the wire covering (sleeve) but I'll fix that when I'm done screwing around with it.
