Here's another nit-picking update..... Larry was kind enough to send me some slicks that I was looking for(Thanks Larry) and I preceded to put the slicks onto the wheels and did not like what I saw. The rims actually stuck out from the slick way too much or at least it seemed that way to me so I had to do a little bit of mod work to the slicks. Here's the results... What it looked like before and after. The before is on the right. What the slick looked like before the modification. After I took an exacto knife and cut out the bead so that the wheel would sit inside. Now I know why it takes me so long to finish a model, I'm way too picky.

That's Ok, as long as we don't "Pick" on each other Here's another couple pics of the stance now with the new tires, front and rear. I think I'm going to have to raise it just a little though, especially the front.

Looks great! What did you use for the return spring?

The return spring is actually a spring. I was at the local Harbor Freight store and found a pack of assorted springs. I just took the spring and put a piece of wire through the middle of it and then CA'd it to the spring, bent the ends and bingo, return spring.

Moving on to the chassis now to get the suspension in and at the right position for the stance. I put the rear end in and the slicks then tried to fit the body on but the slicks still hit the body. These are the smallest and narrowest slicks I can find so I am hogging out the wheel wells to get them to go in a little bit. I'll also have to shorten the rear end about 1/8" too. Here's a pic of what I've done so far.

Thanks. My wife wondered if anyone had seen it. She's the one that always asks if I added it.
Oh, if anyone noticed that the oil pan is not aligned correctly, you're right. It's just tacked on for now because just like the real 1:1 car(at least mine was), you can't remove or install the engine without either removing the pan or taking off the cross member. Once the engine is installed, I'll put the pan back on.

Here's a pic of the car on the trailer but I was wondering what the tow car/truck was? I was thinking it might have either been a wagon or an El Camino. Anyone want to take a stab at it or know what it could have been? At first I thought it might be the blue El Camino but then I noticed it didn't have a hitch.
