Never built a sprint car, having a fun member's challenge on another forum with this build. Donor kit is the Quaker State Steve Kinser kit by Revell - from back in 2002 I believe. I say donor kit. as I will be printing my own decals Started by applying future to the chrome pieces while on the trees - will coat the wings as well, once decals are applied. These updates were over the last week and a half or so....
Largest tire was "deformed" if you will - got a tip to dip and re-dip in hot water, plus I applied weight to it for several days. Seemed to help. Then had to sand off the Goodyear on the tires to use the Hoosier tire decals
Clear coated making ready for the decals
Primer and paint a flyin!
Dam thing is so delicate!! Nothing a few office clamps cannot control though - LOL
Rims painted and readied
Engine painted with Model Masters Aluminum - coming along pretty well at this point
Engine is in!
Body parts coming along - "Literally" LOL - notice the torso, arms, legs - FREAKY
headers sprayed with Krylon chrome paint, plan to smudge them up with a little blue sharpie for that hot/burnt effect, then dunk them in some future, we will see what happens!

For not having all the parts, you sure would not know it. This is definitely gonna be a "Top Shelf" custom basher 4 SHERRR!!

Hey gang - I did this little, goofy story on another forum, seemed to go over well - so I will post the same here. Finished the 69 Camaro SS 427 (-72 Baldwin Motion) - starting with a cool, car and cactus pic, then a short little goofy story and a bunch of finished pics Other than the BMF not cooperating, I have since bought new, better BMF, this build came out ok I guess Comments and thoughts appreciated - ENJOY!!
Lurking - in the grass lands of central Oklahoma, there is tale of a beast. A '69 Baldwin Motion Camaro, camouflaged in green, and ready to strike at any human that tries to capture and tame.......
If seen, the Baldwin Motion Camaro will dart off, disappearing back into the grass lands....
And as quick as the beast dissipated into the grass lands, suddenly, without warning, it springs at the unsuspecting human, releasing the power of the 429 under the hood, thus debilitating the human into complete submission!!
And now, some additional pics.......
