Donor kit was the 2002 Revell Steve Kinser's Sprint car. Used Tamiya white and clear enamels. Custom printed my own Alzheimer's Awareness decals, flames, pretty much anything in purple. I had the US flags printed from awhile back, and then utilized what I could as far as contingency decals. The original decals were rough, but did the best I could. I made the driver, my daughter Trista, she is part of our team that participates each year in the OKC Walk for Alzheimer's Event

Decided to get away from chrome on this build - going all black chrome! All Green and Black Coronet - WOOHOO!
And I do mean ALL Black Chrome -
As those things dried, I started on the engine area
Had to hand letter the tires twice, once in white, then again in green - sticking with the whole, all green and black theme Also have the front suspension, sway bar done.
Did a test fit on the engine, I do believe we glue this sucka down!!
Dash is detailed, as best I could by hand anyways
Engine and battery are in this morning - thinking to add some heater hoses before we close it up with the radiator.
Next up - need to start contemplating how crazy to get with the interior. Just thinking some small green details, black flocking for carpet and headliner, and possibly smoke, (tint), the rear window, put a sun shade, tint stripe across the top of the front windshield, and maybe smoke, tint the side windows - if I do the side windows at all. Hmmmmmmmmmm - decisions, decisions, decisions..........

No sir, did not future the headers. I remembered for a change not to do that with this particular chrome paint. I did blue them up a little with a sharpie, where the come off the block - tried to simulate them getting hot. Then just stuck em on! LOL
Here is a couple finished pictures, with the Steve Kinser donor kit I used in the background - still need to touch up and re-align the tires, but basically, she is off the bench I will then get some nicer pictures and make a completed thread
Thanks everyone!!
