I've had this one back on the bench for a week or so. I decided to do it as a custom conv. and made some wheels for it, modernized the interior and added some 69 Camaro turn signals to the front end.

Today I got the chassis to accept the 98 Vette motor/drivetrain. Just have to drill out the transaxle to add the steel rod that will attach it to the kit rear end.

Did some work on the Camaro convertible. Being a convertible I didn't like the look of the other seats with the stock rear seat, so I decided to change out all the seats to get a matching pattern. Also got the new custom front valance body worked and ready for primer. Still trying to decide on the hood. I made both a 67 & 68 Baldwin Motion hoods to go on this. I know it's a 67 and I should use that one, but I really like the look of the 68 [shown in black on earlier pics].

Spent some time working on the 67 Camaro convertible chassis today. I decided that since I am using the Corvette drivetrain [motor/trans axle] I'd try to use the exhaust as well. The first problem to overcome was to remove the gas tank [adding a fuel cell to the trunk] and make a filler plate. I did have to heat and bend the Vette exhaust, but it's going to work and look good.

I finally got the transaxle finished/assembled and finalized the rear ride height. I decided to adapt the chin spoiler from the 90s Chevy pkp to fit the Camaro, so I did a mock up and found out the new rear seat is causing chassis fit issues. I will introduce that to my dremel and make it see things my way Also finally decided to go with the 68 BM style hood. next up taillights. I went ahead and made three custom taillights: Euro styled, modified stock [one lens with BU light in middle] and a stock all red [no BU light] one. Now just have to see which one I like best.

With the color decided [Testors Icy Blue Pearl and Gloss Black]. Next up is the taillights these are quick pics I made showing the two ideas for the 67 Taillights. I'm leaning toward the one with the BU lights in the middle of the lens.

Got the Icy Blue Pearl on the 67 Camaro today. Now just wait for it to cure and mask it for the Black.
