If, as you wrote, the cloth has come away from the body with a bubble in a spot. . . hmmm. I wonder if it's loose in other places. If it is, it won't hurt to try the old "freezer" method some folks use on old models they want to disassemble. Freeze overnight then see if anything can be worked loose. If not, the otherwise fantastic model could be shown as being worked on. You at least have the engine cover panels. It would be a great model in any case. If money is an issue (as you took advanced pay as commission) it can always be offered for sale on line, and may fetch a good price. The improvements you made already make it well above box stock. I say, take pride in the good things you did. Sometimes models come to grief late in construction, just part of the chances one takes creating art. Thanx for sharing so many good fotos and how you did the wire wheels.

My two cents:
Sometimes you try something new, and it doesn't work, that's life. You'd discovered one more way not to do it, and the next time around, it will be that much better. And you really do have to try again. If it was just your model, it wouldn't matter too much, but it was a commission, and money's already been paid, so you have to make this right, even if this means springing for another body and decals. I get you're not very inspired right now, but I do freelance art, and sometimes when the bills have to be paid, you just have to get yourself inspired. Those fabric bodies were pretty smooth, so just a semi gloss finish will do the job. It you have an airbrush, if you thin the paint a little less, and use a lower pressure, you can get a pebbly finish that does a fair approximation, but try it on something else first. So, take a deep breath, maybe take a couple of days to collect your thoughts, but you do have to get back on that horse.

Hi all not much of an update (these wheels I wish I hadn't started, still I'm getting better with each one, By the time I've done the last one I will be pretty good at it). Just to show I am still working on it.

Looks good. Very realistic "usage" detail on the engine.

I'd be very happy with that result! To me there seems to be nothing wrong, nice and clean work. Thanks for posting this WIP also, it was a lot of fun to follow this one come together and the end result was worth the wait. Your little details make it stand out from the rest.
