That mill is looking very business-like! jb Thanks JB ! Being almost all black it's kinda plain looking , just like the real thing . After a month of very little progress I finally finished the engine compartment .

Looking good under that hood Bob! Kudos for knowing that in '63 Ford mills were black with gold tins and that the "Ford Blue" we all know and love started in '66. Well done sir!

Over the weekend I did one final fit of the body to the chassis before paint . It took the usual amount of fiddling to get everything to sit right , mostly several trimmings of the bottom edge of the windshield and lowering the dash in the tub . I'm really hoping to make substantial progress this week .

Nice stance. The Torque Thrusts look perfect on it.

Man this is too cool! WAY too cool. Loving all of the progress on this great build. Where'd you get that starter solenoid at? Nice touch.

Man this is too cool! WAY too cool. Loving all of the progress on this great build. Where'd you get that starter solenoid at? Nice touch. Thanks much ! The solenoid came from my scrap bin . It's a piece of small diameter rod , drilled for a smaller diameter rod to make the posts , and a piece of angle for the top bracket .

I made up the faux hood hinges . The lower part of the bracket (under tape) will be removed after paint . The hinges will attach to the brass tubes under the hood like so . These may be a bit larger than they should be but after some flat black paint I hope they'll look okay .

Amazingly intricate detail work there Bob! The hinges will look fine what ever color you paint them!
