Seems like its heading into the Rat Rod Realm. Two things. 1st, I think the tabs on the firewall of the body should come off unless you're going to have a hood of some sort. 2nd, I think the grille shell is a bit too high. It's even with the cowl but because the cowl slopes at such a strong angle my eye wants the top of the shell lower. My guess is that some of the bottom of the shell would have to come off or perhaps you can section the grille shell.

They are all rat rods to me. The body will probably sit mostly flat when its done, its currently hanging up on the frame in the rear just a bit though it looks pretty flat to me, might be the angle of the photo. Was planning on removing the hood braces though, but may try to fab a hood first.
thanks though. Really kind of losing interest in this and other projects at the moment though, no telling where it will end up. Maybe the trash.

Paint on, need to make up windshield and rear window, build up the cab interior and then final assembly. The color is more like two shades more intense, with some depth to it due to the coats of clear orange (over metallic orange) followed by clear clear. Camera doesn't really catch it in these photos. Wheels and tires finished up, floorboard carpeted, dashboard detailed with machine turned aluminum detail decal, am going to use the same stuff for the inner door panels, tinted clear steering wheel and bench seat. Piece with the cross is the inside roof panel to cover the wood engraved detail up there since I smoothed the top and got rid of the vinyl/cloth texture. jb

Thanks folks! Got a little more done recently, started fabricating a dual exhaust system I plan on routing vertically behind the cab with some aluminum heat shields. I think I got the basic pieces from the Revell 58 Chevy and went from there. Have to bend or otherwise shape the ends still, right angles to the outside and then up to meet some stack kinda pipes I have. I didn't realize the photo I am posting was so old, its all gone together by now, the main V anyway and is in primer to remove some of the mold lines etc and do the end pipe bending. Meanwhile I got the interior up into the cab, and of course the windows and door panels and some little window crankers for detail. Hard to take a good photo but heres what I got: I posed the frame, cab, nose, wheels and fuel tank (upside down in the pics so the line would clear) at near-to the height its going to sit at. Barely any clearance for the oil pan and the nose right now is resting on the ground. Kinda goofy looking but I am liking it. The nosepiece has a little radiator tucked up inside it that you can see if you squint between the bars, but it doesn't photograph very well. I am going to just have the radiator hoses disappear up into there somewhere, won't be able to see up in there. Some more pics of me mocking it Looks kind of bare in the back but there is still some detailing, taillights and license plate to go. Funny looking with the axle hanging out the back like that. Doubt it would survive much actual driving. Hope to get this baby wrapped up here in the next couple weeks, most of the hard stuff is done, just details to attend to. Thanks for looking; comments and jeers cheerfully fielded! jb

Just have to fab and install a radiator hose or two, the radiator is a small cut down one that I stuck up inside the tractor nose, so you cannot see much if any detail up there. So, this will be the last post here before I take some finished photos and post them in the finished section and of course in my gallery!. Used some AMT 50 Ford taillights and lenses, and formed some heat shields for the exhaust system I cobbled together. There's a skull and X bones decal on the tank, but its red and I ghosted it with clear orange, so you can hardly see it in the photos. Thanks again for looking and all comments appreciated! jb
