Great Kit review jb. You put good effort into it. This is the sorta thing that keeps Boards interesting. I need to take a crack at doing one sometime soon.
Too bad about the tires. There are a lot of people who like to build out of the box, so that's a tough break for them.
Nice build on the Kart. Now I want one.
I've always said built kits sell models.

On a side note, Plowboy mentioned he doesn't use stock wheels, I don't use the Modern stuff like he does. Perhaps we should work on a more active trade (program ?) here.
I know I feel bad about having lots of parts in kits I don't use. I do ebay some stuff, but a lot I would like to see in the hands of fellow members.
So don't be shy about posting wants and needs. (sorry about hi jacking your thread jb)

one more thing I should add about the kart build, that hoop behind the seat is supposed to be a seat support, not a roll bar. So I mounted it too high so it sits up above the top of the seat. There is a relief built into the seat back that looks like this hoop should fit inside of, but if I recall correctly it is not the same radius as the hoop, so it does not fit together as elegantly as it should. I guess what this means is its probably best to jettison the hoop and make another one by bending some aluminum or plastic rod, and bend it more to the contour of the seat back. Looking at the kart photos above it really kind of sticks out like a sore thumb to me now. I believe the original was the same way.
