How cool is that!? Nice job Bob 👍👍
I must say, those headers look sweet, just as they are, but I assume that they will be chromed?

The headers and rag top look great! I have always wanted to build a 'little' version of these large scale 'T's myself; but have yet to get around to it. You are doing an awesome job of it! If you have any interest in having that uptop molded and cast let me know. I would be interested in doing it; and would give you your original back along with a few copies.........Ed

Thanks guys ! Don't know about having the top cast . . . I'll think about it . Still working on the top . I added the edge molding with the smallest size strip I had , I might be taking a drive to the LHS to find something smaller . And the engine is in the chassis , basically the chassis is finished .

The molding looks fine to me. It's nit too big to my eyes. The grill and motor all came out great. What did you use for the mesh on the grill shell?

I thought it was at first but after looking for a while I think it's too big . That's .060 wide strip but it looks bigger when glued to the top so I'm thinking of using .040 strip . For the grille I bought some fine mesh s.s. screen on ebay a while ago so I tried it here . It's hard to cut anything but square sides but it still fit pretty good . I've got some brass screen that's even finer mesh I want to try , if it can be painted with an airbrush .

The early'60s look was cleaner than some of the later creations. Thanx for this one.

I think the rolling chassis alone is a work of art to behold! I do agree that the edge molding is just a hair on the thick side; and you would probably be happier/more content with the .040 strips.

I do agree that the edge molding is just a hair on the thick side; and you would probably be happier/more content with the .040 strips. I think I found a simple solution to the problem . I filed/sanded the bottom edge of the top to reduce the width of the molding , and also sanded the sharp top corner of the strip rounding it off along the length of the strip . That last step really changes the visual appearance . I think it was all an optical illusion as .060" really isn't that much but it looked huge when glued to the top ! I'll post a pic of the changes later today .

I know better than to try a shortcut to fix something , it never works ! I changed the molding to the .040" strip .

Looks great Bob, that roof looks just about perfect to me! Thanks but not anywhere near perfect . It is better than the one I made back around '70 to put on a Meyers Manx ! Some of the pics I've seen of the Big Rod have a chrome tank cover on the radiator . I'm guessing it's not part of the kit but I like the 60's look of it so I made one out of a spare radiator shell . It's a last minute change and may be good . . . may be not , but it's there now . And this morning I cast some small teardrop lights , these are actually for a Tom Daniel Dune Rat . In case you're wondering , this is a Dune Rat !

You're really keeping us in suspense here! I can't wait to see this finished; and the next one started in your series of "Little" kits. I've been wanting to do a "Little Drag" 'T' for years now; but just haven't gotten around to it. I've seen 2 or 3 done so far; and only one or two had the right 'look'. I know yours will judging by the work I've seen so far!

The lights were cleaned , painted , and filled with some clear epoxy , then the taillight lens was painted with transparent red .
