^^^I saw one on eBay that had two side by side seats that formed into Cobras. I don't think I'd trust the forks on those things to actually drive one. I got the Cadillac on eBay, since I don't have any Caddys in my collection at all. I guess it doesn't help that they really didn't make many. I've wanted the Monte for quite some time, so I bought it from a Facebook group. That same group mentioned that Michael's was having a clearance on their models, so I went by. The Dart (box seems really heavy) was $17 and the Hurst Olds was $10.

From my dear old ebay UK, at a reasonable price.. But this didn't! It went at auction at an eye watering £102! Yes I want one but my pensioners budget would have been blown!

This is a FB special. I really need to read the box better before I buy. I thought this was a 2 n 1 kit, but it's not. I don't like this mishmash of styling. Side pipes and stance are from the 70s, and the scoop is more 90s. Luckily, it came with a stock hood. I can find whatever else I need to make it somewhat stock looking in my other models and spare parts. I think I'll use the motor in a PT Cruiser I built for my wife as she had one at the time, but I'm making it rear wheel drive and blown. Since my wife was a cat lover, I'll call it the "Crazy Cat Lady" in her honor.
i really need to finish up the 3 models I'm working on. It seems I'm buying at least 5 for every one I get built.

It went at auction at an eye watering £102! Yes I want one but my pensioners budget would have been blown! That Bug Out is extremely rare even here in the states , it was originally issued as "Bug Bomb" but the mom's complained and Revell eventually changed the artwork to "Bug Out" for the last run . They can bring double the price of a Bug Bomb .

^^^When did they change the name? What was blacked out on the tires? So, moms complained about that but then learned to just let their kids view whatever they wanted once the internet came about. This is an old ad I tried selling on eBay.

This is an old ad I tried selling on eBay. I've got one of those ads too ! As for when the name was changed I don't recall exactly . It was released in 1970 and was in production thru '73 , I'd guess the name change came late'72 or during the last run in '73 . All Deal's Wheels originally had "Good Boot" molded on the tires with an unusual symbol where the Goodyear boot would normally be . It looked very much like a Playboy Bunny so these tires are now known as "Bunny Tires", of course that was a no-no so the symbol was later removed from the mold and blacked out on the box art . At the time Revell said it was actually an "OK" gesture but years later Dave Deal himself confirmed it was a bunny , he had a big laugh about it 'cause he was always hiding things like that in his artwork .

Added two more to my long list of "Which one do I build next?" with these hard to find Torino's . I'm a Chevy guy but I did own a '69 Torino Cobra Jet once and really love all the early Torino's . I drove 60 miles to buy the '69 Hardtop from a guy I've known for a couple of years . He wouldn't budge on his price so I paid dearly for it but then he handed me the Pace Car as a bonus ! It was worth the drive !

great score Bob! Both of those have been on my grail list for eons. Most enthusiasts like the fastback Torino best but to me there's just something about the formal roof that looks "just right". If you ever want to sell/trade that one please keep me in mind.

If you ever want to sell/trade that one please keep me in mind. My '69 Cobra Jet was a fastback but I agree that the formal roof looks just as nice . I do have an empty box (great artwork ! ) and a resin hardtop on order from Motor City Resin . Not sure right now but if you're interested I'll let you know .
