Picked these old JL's at a thrift store. Couldn't resist @ 2 bucks each. 2 bucks each is a heck of a deal! I don't think I'd find anything like that in the local thrift shops. I have the Wild Kat truck, however.

So kind of a reverse "what did you get today"...has anyone gotten the new AMT 60 Chevy pickup with the go kart? Just got released the other day, I ordered one up on ebay but it hasn't arrived yet. Would love to see a review!

thanks Ron I had seen that pre release build video, looks great and I can't wait for mine to arrive. its been a LONG time since I cared enough about old AMT kits to say that too.
I don't have any of the original 60 Chevy kit but I have a couple of the AMT 63 Ford truck that the kart (semi)-originally came from. Another Vintage Victim to come!

Sounds like maybe a CBP idea? I've been wanting to build mine with a step side box from the 55 and figure out a 4X4 conversion. I wish I had an original annual but I only have the original of this one!

Great to see that '60 Chevy Pickup reissued. I have an old SMP '61 Pickup that is waiting for a rebuild. It will need some parts from that '60 kit so now it's a lot easier to find one of those.

Did some trading with JB (Thanks Again!) and this AMT '63 Nova STW arrived today in the mail. I've been looking for one of these kits for a long time, but they always seem to go with pretty big price tags on eBay. This one is an excellent starting point for me, it's not perfect and it's missing some small parts here and there but most important parts are all there and in good condition. And that's very good for me. I'm probably going to build it factory stock as it is in so good condition and has the parts to do so. When I start building it, you'll see it posted in here. Can't wait!

OK I hope this doesn't get anyone all jealous and want me to be kicked off this board or anything but I just got this in the mail. Totally too kool for skool if you ask me, El Tako Loco in Spananese ("tako" meaning octopus in Japanese and "El Loco" meaning the crazy in Spanish), food truck. Get your fresh ceviche de Tako right here...free map to the nearest hospital no extra charge! And check out the decal sheet, pure love at first sight! Now I have to look for #1 in the series, the Game Box. Ok, like I said, don't hate me. jb

Picked this one up last week. Not too happy about it molded in Green but this is a great kit. Highly recommended. Hello all, I am new to this forum but thought I would share a pic... I did this Dave Deals Wheels zzzz-28 kit but I modified and change some features in this car.. the grille was a bit too long... added the bumpers..added spoilers...exhaust side pipes...modeified hood scoops...and a few things. Along with a baldwin motion painting style. Did this a few years ago. Gallery for this model car is in this page.... car-toons.proboards.com/thread/902/baldwin-motion-camaro enjoy!

Received a beautiful resin 1/18 model Lotus Eleven. To my eye, one of the worlds most beautiful cars ever, along with the Maserati Typo 61 aka Birdcage, and the Jaguar D-Type. The model is minimal detail, only what can be seen from the outside (or so I assume), but what is there is very effective, just like the real thing. Beautiful laced wire wheels peeking out from under the beautiful bodywork. I really wish there was a high detail 1/24 version of this car. I have built the ancient Merit kit (multi-piece body and raised panel lines...) and even used upgrade parts on it but it would be so nice to have one with a removable engine cover and some detailed suspension. As it is, this will have to do. Got it from American Excellence along with a 1/43 Ghia Lotus Eleven coupe...you cannot even recognize the resemblance. jb
