Never seen that pic of the Drag version , I like it !! With all of the old Monogram restorations I've been doing I've gotten hooked on all of the early stuff ! Been wanting one of these 55's for a while but never imagined I'd end up with three of'em , right place right time . All are complete , one has the front suspension installed and the other two are untouched . Plus all three boxes are in great shape , one is mint ! I've read all of the complaints about the Monogram '55 , from this one all the way to the Badman and I don't care , I like it !

WOW! Nice haul Bob! To me that is one of the monumental historical kits of all time. I have a partial red one in the stash but would like to add a blue one for sure.

Great score Bob! Those are really cool, I'd like to build those kits as well. Built one of the BadMan reissues as a Gasser and while the kit required a bit of work to make it accurate, I think it definitely wasn't as bad as some people said. And I think it turned out a decent model, despite the fact that I left some of the Monogram's old innaccuracies (is that a word?) to the kit as I wanted that people could see what kit I started with. drasticplastics.proboards.com/thread/5651/55-chevrolet-bel-air-gs

This arrived in the Mail today. Haven't bought much new kits for some time, but now I had to buy one of these from eBay as there was a one seller who offered it with a reasonable shipping cost to Finland. Very nicely done kit, can't wait to start building it! I've always wanted to do a '65 Comet as a Vintage Drag Car and now they made it easy by making a kit of one!

You've got to post a build for this one Niko , I've seen some photos of the parts but seeing it go together would be great !

Thanks Guys, I'll post a build thread in here when I get to it. If everything goes as planned, I'll start building that one by the end of December as that's the Deadline for my current project. I can't wait to get started, the kit looks really good.

And today this Ford Coupe arrived in the Mail: I was mainly looking for an old builtup/Glue Bomb for this upcoming project, but a friend sold his copy with a fair price, so I had to have it. It's just barely started by gluing a couple of parts together but nothing is painted or missing. A pleasant surprise was also the narrow Pie Crust slicks with pad printed whitewalls and a couple of grooves at the tire tread. Didn't remember that the kit comes with those, but they are a perfect tire for vintage Super Stock cars as they had to use narrow slicks with two grooves on the tread... My plan is to build a sectioned Ford Coupe with a stock height roof. One day I'll also buy another one of these, and it will be built as a box art replica.

Nice score Niko, just can't have too many AMT '49 Ford kits and that's a good reissue. Hats off to R2 for that one. That box art is indeed irresistible !

Those are very cool Ron! And they were cheap, too! Too bad that here in Finland it's not so easy to find other than Hot Wheels cars. There are a couple of sellers, but they don't have a lot to choose from.

When i first saw them there and the price I couldn't pick them up fast enough! www.jalopyjournal.com/?p=17802
