Here's 1 of 2 '40 convertibles I recieved in a box of salvage from Jody (smartresins). One was totally FUBR and beyond all salvation. This one wasn't TOO bad, but still a mess. I cut the body in two myself, expecting to use the rear end on a different project, but decided to try for a complete really beat up model of a 40 convert.  |

Trickling onward: Stance mock. Got to dirty down that small block Ford.  Tooltas, Here's the other one. It has been sectioned about a half inch lenghtwise. I may have to salvage and restore that firewall for this build.  |

Did a little more on the body to frame mounts, but the major job today was resurrecting that firewall from the FUBAR 40 that had a half inch cut out of the middle. Managed to get the firewall separated and added the half inch back into the width. Filled the hinge holes and made some new ribbing.  |

The back of that 48 and the back of this 40 were each considered for a different build. Might still use the 48 when I get back on that project (won't be recognizable tho  ) |

Seein's as how I have to rebuild the top of the windshield, I might as well chop it a bit. Also, prevoius owner decided to eliminate the wipers, as I will do, except it required some serious fixin.  |

Here's the rebuilt and chopped windshield. Firewall is mocked in...but hitting the frame and holding the front end up some. Merely superficial.   |

LOL Geezer, its looking great. When I seen the pics of the body in primer I thought you had switched bodies it looked so much better!
