The last few times I showed off the Vette I noticed parts were starting to fall off, steering wheel, then one seat, then the other, the grille and so on so I decided now would be a good time to take it apart and give the body a coat of paint. I got the body off the chassis, removed the glass and chrome, removed the interior tub, and got the interior apart. Don't ask me why but for some reason I decided to paint the transmision and drive shaft grey so I decided to take the motor apart and strip the paint on the block and trans. One thing that has bugged me about this build was the fact that the front end was higher than the back but I had already decided to leave the suspension alone. Well, while doing a mock-up of the Vette with the new paint job the front suspension came loose so I finished pulling it apart. Hmmm, wonder what I need to do to lower this front end, lets see...............a little sanding here, shorten the springs a little..........yeah that should do it and away I went. You can see where I filed and sanded the chassis and I also sanded a little on the part in the same area, then sanded down the springs a little and a mock-up of it and it sure does sit lower now! A bit of an update on the Vette. Got the suspension all assembled and it does look better with a little extra color. Hosted on FotkiSince the chassis is done I decided to do a quick mock-up and see how it looks after messing with the front suspension and I think it has a better stance now. Hosted on Fotki

Well I finally found my BMF so I could foil the windshield frame so I got that done yesterday. This is only the third model I've used the foil on and it gets a little easier every time. Hosted on FotkiI got some new chrome for this build from James aka gerdes75 (thanks a bunch bud) and so I got the new front bumper/grille out and did a little detail work to it as well, blacking out the grille and painting the parking lights.
