Lookin' good. The Lime Ice looks much better that the stock yellow. Ya gonna update the wheels? The thought has crossed my mind but so far I haven't found anything in my stash that I liked any better, but I don't have much of a selection to choose from though.

Along with slinging some paint on the Jeep I also did a little more on this one. First up is the dash and convertible top. I couldn't get the glass out of the old one with it cracking so I never messed with it and the original dash spiderwebbed on me when I repainted. I was going through the box of this kit that James (gerdes75) gave to me (thanks again James) and the dash, convert. top and the hard top were all in there.....WOOOHOOO. So last Friday I shot the dash and convert top with semi-gloss black and I had just a little left of the lime ice green that I used on the body so I shot that on the hard top. Hosted on FotkiThen today I got the clear out and shot the hard top and now its all shiney. Hosted on FotkiNow I can switch tops whenever I want to. Hosted on Fotki

Goin' real deep on your "no-car" restoration. Lookin' sharp, too.

Goin' real deep on your "no-car" restoration. Lookin' sharp, too. I know, what started off as a quick teardown and painting of the body has taken on a life of its own. Thanks for the comments everybody.

Looking good so far! I am a softy for the rag top, but the hard top looks good too. Sure wish I was rich enough to afford a real one of these! Jody

Well, most vettes I would! LOL. The 63 split window and the 69 Stingray I could not. Of course, they are among the most exspensive ones, so I guess no one else would either. LOL. Oh well. I do like your color choice! Jody

Dang, has it really been that long since I did an update on this one? Oh well, here we go. First a look back at the beginning. Here is stance before I took it apart and I always thought that it was too high: Hosted on FotkiAnd here is the new and improved stance and as you can see the top of the front tire is now covered by the fender and I think it looks much better: Hosted on FotkiAnd here is the nearly finished engine bay minus the coil (that shot off to never-never land) and a couple of minor touchups: Hosted on FotkiJust need to touchup a few more parts and get the rest of the chrome mounted and this one will be finished!!!
