I had a Cal Look in the 70's, so this is special to me. Did you find that pic on "bugselecta"? Great start, keep it up!

Then I modified it even more in "paint" on my PC. I have specially ordered the pink color on a spraycan while I found the brownish red as a "stock" vehicle color on spraycan in my nearby gasstation.

Finally..... I put primer on the body this morning. Now It's easier to see all details like: Scratchbuilt "nose" on the enginelid Modified enginelid with "molded plateholder" and a small ridge above the "nose" Scratchbuilt taillights (with round lenses) Scratchbuilt "signal-grilles" (round in stead of the oval ones) in the front

That sure is an interesting color, what is it? I went to a local carparts-dealer who can put any color You like in a spraycan. I had the drawing of the Bug with me and after looking at approx 200 different pink colors I found one that was close enough. I had to pay $25 for one big spraycan though... It doesen't have a special name, but I have the PPG colorcode for it if anyone's interested
