I don't know why so many of my cars are painted this color, or a similar color. I think I see them, then tell myself "I don't have THAT color. Oh well.
This was an open kit originally from 87, I believe. Molded in orange. It was missing a few parts as well. I would really love it if manufactures put tops in their convertible models. I'm sure some do, but they're few and far between. I used a spare 68 Camaro hood, stripes, and bumper. I molded in the bumpers as well. Grille is a narrowed 1970 'Cuda grille. I made the shield over the radiator as the empty space bothered me. Wheels are from ye old parts bin. Coffee stirrer as exhaust tips. Tail lights need tweaking.
I clear coated this with Mod Podge clear. I guess that stuff doesn't have much of a shelf life as it's over 3 weeks old and not completely dry. Buffing it dulls it, but the shine will come back after several hours. I may give it one more try, but on something I can afford to let sit for a month or two. By the way, I used the Camaro looking grille that came with the 'Cuda model on it. Now, it resembles a Camaro.
