I will never buy another partially assembled glue bomb...EVER! This thing looked like it was built by a 7 year old. No paint, so the glue stuck very well, and I think he used a whole tube on what he did build. The windshield was so well glued, that the only way to get it out was with frame and all. The interior wasn't much better. So much glue on the front seats, I had to trash them. Lots of warpage in parts that I could salvage. I'd like to find a convertible top that would fit, and cut it down. The hood had a hole cut out of it, so that's why it has the scoop.
Paint is Duplicolor Pewter Metallic, Spruce Metallic, and Duplicolor 1K pearl clear, however, I don't see any pearl when put in the sunlight.
I'm not entirely happy with how it came out, mainly because I had to find a paint scheme that would hide the things I couldn't fix. Tail lights are from the 57 Ford kit, I think. Again, there was no way to get the original tail lights out without damaging them. I had to make the holes bigger to accommodate the larger Ford tail lights. Front seats are from the parts bin, as are the headers and exhaust, windshield and tires/wheels. The hood scoop is a Chrysler product. The wing is home made, and I only glued it with Mod Podge, so in case I decide I hate it, it'll come right off without damaging the paint. I sanded off the upper and lower trim as well. The air cleaner was made from foam core. I didn't detail this like I would have liked, because it was in such poor shape, I got tired of looking at it.
