Built this from a Ghostbusters kit . The kit had a lot of holes on the roof and quarter panels that needed to be filled in. The vinyl top was made out of two inch blue painters tape and painted with black craft paint and matt cleared. The curtains came from three inches under on ebay. Body was airbrushed with decanted Tamiya TS-14 black and cleared with wet look. I also added the side body moldings made from strip evergreen. Thanks for lookin'!!

Awesome conversion , Mike. Great job with the Evergreen strips, the seams on the roof really make it, being that the roof is so long. I bet this will inspire a lot of people to do this.
Thanks for commenting on my Camaro, also.

Thanks for commenting on my Camaro, also. Jim Thanks Jim. Making the vinyl top was pretty easy. I first cut the tape to the width that I want it for the left and right, then I ran two lengths of tape on top of each other down the center to give it that seam look. Your welcome Jim. I liked how you moved the motor up in the chassis,I think it looks a lot better that way too. Nice work on those resin parts too buddy.

I can see that you have put in shed-loads of work, converting a a goofy movie car into a real-world replica. Love the vinyl roof, absolutely fantastic...

Oh man, I love that hearse! What a beautiful model. Congrats. Like someone else said, yours will be the inspiration for others to follow with theirs, guaranteed. Believe it or not, I built my first car model with a vinyl top back in 1969 or 70. It was a Mopar, and if I remember correctly, a Cuda. Like yours, I used a 3/4 inch tape on the outsides, then a wide tape down the center so it fell in position where the seams were on each side like they were located on 1:1 cars of that time period. I can't recall where I got the idea to do that, but it was probably from some model car journal from that time as I was an avid follower of such publications long before there was internet.
