53 Ford Prostreet Pickup

I'm part way into a new build and thought I'd post a few pics. Starting with the AMT stock looking 53 Ford F-100 I've narrowed and zee'd the rear frame and cut out the box to fit some big Hoosier 3-D printed tires from Iceman Collections. I also took apart a 427 Cammer engine from an AMT 33 Willys I built when I was a kid. The kit was falling apart and sitting in a parts box so why not. I've dechromed most if the engines parts and will be going with the matted out metal colors on it.

Wow, are those some fat ass.....imulated tires! Looks like boss build in the making.

Yes they are. I've made some progress on a few small things. I cross drilled the front axle, set up coil over rear shocks, smoothed out the firewall, figured out the disc brake mounting. Nothing painted yet though.

When I was stationed at Ft. Benning, I had a Platoon sergeant that always seemed to have 3 or 4 of these trucks in process, but all cruise/drivable. I helped him front clip one from a '78 Malibu. Way fun truck! This is bringin' back some fond memories man. Keep going!
