Revell '68 Dodge Dart

This my first attempt at using salt to mask off a rusty undercoat before applying a colour top coat.  Worked out OK.  I also gently rubbed down the paint when it was dry, to give it a matt finish.  There's no motor in this one (already used the Hemi) and not much detail underneath - I just concentrated on getting a cool stance.  I don't know where the wheels came from but I'm pleased with the copper finish - one coat of gold mixed with a drop of clear red, straight onto the chrome.  They really glow man...

That's some very realistic looking weathering. It brings back a lot of memories. The first car I owned was a green 69 Dart GT with buckets and a console shift automatic and it was a little rusty and faded also. I took out the slant 6 and put in a souped up 340 and a 4 speed and drove the hell out of it for years. Thanks for posting the pics.
