This kit went together really well. The instructions were mostly understandable. I decided against doing it in blue as I seem to have a ton of cars in blue already. There's a story in the instructions about the car being built, but Foose didn't like the color, so he did some redesign and painted it the color he thought it should be. We would have obviously clashed on that.
The decals were so tiny that even with magnifying glasses, they were hard to tell what they were. The "ELDORADO" decals were so small, I couldn't tell which side was up when I went to put them on. I made some bigger Eldorado decals. The paint gave me major fits as well. One of those that didn't like ANY of the clear coats I tried to put on. The paint wouldn't strip completely in brake fluid, 91% alcohol or the purple stuff. I had to sand some areas, which caused loss of detail. Oh well.
The paint is Krylon Bauhaus Gold with Krylon Butter Cream interior and top (and some frame parts.) I also did a light spraying of Duplicor Clear Effects to give it a bit of sparkle. 2K clear. All parts are from the kit. In fact, I thought the rear tail light housings were door handles, so I just dropped the lights in without them. Oops. Gives them a Frenched look.

Nice build and your colour choice is spot on. I might look out for this kit for my collection.

I like it a lot better without the top! You built yourself a beautiful model sans top. Gary

That's nice. I agree the colors are spot on and the chassis detail looks awesome too.
