AMT '33 Ford Street Rod 1/25 scale

This kit was completed a while back. I decided to go with a two - tone color scheme for the build consisting of Testors Black Cherry Pearl Lacquer for the fenders, Testors Dusty Rose Enamel for the cab, and cleared with Testors Wet Look. Overall, I would say the kit fits together ok, but it does have a few problems. One problem is that the windshield wiper was molded on the wrong side of the chrome trim and had to be removed. Another setback was the lack of any mounting points for the fenders to the upper body or cab, and finally there is the unusual way that the kit was designed for the engine cowl hood, side curtains, and radiator grille to fit together in one piece.

Is this kit based on the very old 5 window coupe kit? I can't personally recall ever seeing this sedan kit.
However, you did a sweet job building this.

Thank you! I believe this kit is related to the older kit : The AMT '34 Ford Coupe. I looked it up on Scalemates, and the timeline for the 33 2 door sedan goes back to 1987. They also made '34 a 2 n 1 version with a flat head V8. By the way the kit you are referring to (The five window coupe) has just been re-released by AMT.
