I like it too. Good job on cutting it down. I never would've known it wasn't originally a truck if not for the picture on the box.

Thanks Richard. I did some photo research prior to cutting (!) and came across quite a few pick-ups but whose to know if they were factory new or local conversions.

I saw it very often when I was stationed in Germany at the time of the wall coming down. Several versions of this car could be seen. Stock, not, and "What the WHAT?!" The only type I didn't see was a 4x4, and probably because they couldn't find a Lada to buy from anyone. You did a great job on this Pat!

Yes HotRodTom, a Lada Niva 4X4 under a Trabant may well have worked. I'll have to look at both kits, that's if a Lada Niva 4X4 is available!
