One of my favourite things as a modeller is seeing kits in person you never thought you’d see; Either built, at a show, or better yet, for sale somewhere so you can add it to your stash! For me, that’s tied with the thrill of finding out there IS a kit of THAT, whatever weird and wonderful “that” that maybe. No wonder, then, I love going to antiques stores and swap meets – it’s like a giant garage sale of potential sprue awesomeness! It’s rare to find a lot of variety, but this spring proved to have a bumper crop of old and varied models out there waiting for me! About the only thing I build that I didn’t get was armour, but that’s okay. Check out my last few months’ haul below for a little bit of everything from around the world! There’s gotta be something in there to make you smile! adamrehorn.wordpress.com/spring-2023-haul/

I certainly am diggin' the TU-128 you got, not so sure about the 128UT .... And the A-31, reminds me of an TBF Avenger or a T6 Texan.

Yeah, that Tu-128UT is one of the ugliest Russian planes I can think of, and that's saying something! Usually their trainers are pretty sexy, but that one got hit with an Ugly Train.
Good call on the A-31! I love forgotten combat types, and it's chunky nature makes me smile!

I also share your enthusiasm for antique stores, swap meets and garage sales. There is this Christmas morning as a child feeling that comes over me as I see a model kit sitting on a table followed by "please be unbuilt, please be unbuilt' as I slide the box top off. I bet you know what I mean. That's a good haul, congratulations.

.... "please be unbuilt, please be unbuilt' as I slide the box top off. Don't we ALL say that?

Yep and it's either followed by an "all right" or "crap".

Yep, I know that feeling well. Nothing like the exaltation of finding an awesome kit still fresh in the box. Nothing hurts like finding a glue-bomb or a half-assembled painted mess.
