Very interesting jb! I'm a lover of Heller and 2CV's, so interested to keep a watch on this although perhaps a bit expensive for me!

Still playing around with this, the multi piece body is really sumpting...but I am rotating the axles front and rear to get the tires up inside the wells or in the case of the back, to radius the rear wheel cutaway to tuck that weenie up in there as best I can. JDM French style.    Its a kool little truck, I hope I can do what I see in my mind. Otherwise it might end up pretty laughable, thats why I hesitate to cut out the rear wheel wells. Maybe I will try it with some card stock first. Thanks again for looking! jb |

I didn't even know a pickup truck version existed. I thought the basic 2cv was oddball enough but I like oddballs!

Anymore movement on this jb? I'm looking at converting a Heller Citroen 2CV car kit to a pick-up as I already have built the van version.!

Hi Pat, funny you should mention it, I was just passing by the hobby room and thought this project was getting a little lonely here lately, so I sat down and did some card stock templates for the rear tire wells. Going to make some modified ones from those and then either cut the original panels or use some flat plastic stock. Probably get some significant progress done by the weekend and maybe will post pics then. Now that its winter and I am indoors more maybe I can get serious about this kit and get 'er done instead of letting it gather dust as it has been doing!
Funny also you should mention Heller, I was just thinking how complicated this model is, especially the body and chassis and how they inter-fit so tightly but require you to almost glue everything before you can fit anything...kind of like how I thought my previous Heller experience demanded. I actually wonder how much of this kit was derived from some Heller ancestor. So its going to be interesting to see how yours comes along.

Thanks jb I'll keep in touch, but with the house move it could be a few months!
Update 29.12.2023. House move stalled, our buyer has contacted us to say that their buyer has lost their buyer. Our seller for the bungallow we want has had a poor survey on the one she wanted so is looking again!
