I got out of my comfort zone on this one. 1/144th scale is a little too small for me. I didn't like the way the canopy lines are too thick, but that's my fault. It didn't fit right either. Wings won't sweep back with bombs attached. I assume it couldn't fly at supersonic speed with them on there, unless they rotated as the the wings swept back. Hand (brush) painted camo. I couldn't find any consistent paint schemes, so I came up with my own. Sometimes the belly is white, and some they are camo painted like the rest of the plane. I built the Tomcat about 25 years ago. Not real happy with this build.

I think you did a GREAT job. The aardvark was a rather unique bird. And, there was no "set" camo scheme. Because the aircraft was a swing-wing, it was an either or situation. Swept back, intercepter/attack. Extended wing, bomber/recon. The canopy is a frustrating thing at this scale. I wouldn't beat myself up with this build. BUT..... If you are REALLY disappointed with it, send it to me! I have wanted a F111 for some time now, along with an F104 and F105. Hee hee......
