LOL Tom, but never had kids so not a Grandpa, so that must be a "Hee Haw" reference.
I watched the show back then, but I'm still missing the "Hee Haw" reference on the back of the car?
If it's the plate like Bob pointed out, I'm still not getting it.
I know this will turn out to be a "Duh" moment, LOL.

The rake was the first thing that jumped out at me. And, I sometimes get a hankerin' to do something in a different color.

I like to tie in different things with each build. Sometimes, I put just one "marker" in. In this case, just the "BR549" reference. Kind of like Bob Falfa's THX 138 license plate on his coupe. Those old enough to know, know what I'm referencing there.  Not many folks today are familiar with the movie THX1138, so that was missed by a lot of people. 

And the "Granpa" thing is just another reference to the "Hee Haw" segment.  None of the "significant" things are really that significant.  Maybe I spent too much time in front of an electronic babysitter when I was a young whipper-snapper.....

Thank you! I ran out of solder, so this is the first go at Jeweler's wire headers. And, I don't have a compressor for my airbrush, so the weathering on the headers is judicious paintbrush/q-tip/ make-up brush application with Tamiya paints.
