Got sidetracked so it took a bit longer to complete than I had contemplated, but in the end it all went together as it was supposed to (of course, its Tamiya). Straight out of the box except a Studio 27 PE upgrade kit, probably used about 30% of the parts, mostly badges and stuff like that, screens for the front end. Left off the decals, making this an imaginary privateer car I guess. The kit decals were a mixed bag: the small sheet containing scripts and gauges and stuff for this specific livery cracked all apart on trying to apply them, the main sheet with all the specific race car graphics appeared to be fine so I used some of those and the decals for the tires were problematic at best, as you can tell from some sketchy results. I also tried to simplify the paint so the undertray and what sticks out from it, the little wind deflectors, some of the interior parts, were left their native black plastic, but some of it was redone in flat black. Paint is some terrible hardware store dubious decision nightmare but I managed to get it on without much apparent problem other than a bit of orange peel. (Actually it went on pretty well considering the body contours and hidden areas, it was Rustoleum 2 in 1 primer and paint (usually a sure sign of trouble) of the Marigold persuasion I believe.) Kinda looks like a Corvette color to me. Thanks for looking; if you want to see more, go check out my gallery!
