One of my biggest beefs (or is it "beeves",) about doing my own decals is that once in a while, I need them to be metallic. Short of buying a printer that can print metallics, there aren't many choices to achieve this. I found these at Auto Zone yesterday. I needed to make new white stripe decals for a Shelby I'm refurbishing. While just using white decal paper would work, I wanted some pearl in them. The taller can is perfect for that. The decals came out really nice! I'm also building an old Falcon Ranchero that I painted a blue that is supposed to be sprayed over chrome to give it an anodized look. I painted the car silver, then sprayed the "anodized" blue on top. It gave it a dark candy finish, but I wanted pearl and some metallic over that. I used the small can, but sprayed it as if it were regular clear. 2 light coats and then 1 or 2 heavier coats. The more you spray, the more metallic gets deposited on the car. I would advise just lightly spraying this on your model, 2 light coats, and finishing up with the pearl 1K clear, or whatever you usually clear coat with. Just remember that all paints might not be compatible. I had no issue with Rustoleum gloss clear over the Ranchero.
A bit pricey. The small can was $17.99 and the big one was $16.99. I'll post some pics when finished.

Love to see the pictures. I use Mod Podge Pearlized Spray Sealer (11-Ounce) over solids to give a nice 60's pearl look. I does lighten the hue. Light purple becomes lavender for example. Because of this it is best on whites and pastels. It doesn't look good over dark colors to my eye. Here it is over Rustoleum flat white. The picture has a blueish cast but the color is pure white. The pictures I have with the correct color hue don't show he pearl effect. I think I sprayed Dupli-color clear over it, but don't remember for sure.
