Get well Robert. Your build will still be there. Gives you time to refine your plan in your mind.

Tnx, Dave & Tooold! I´m way better than expected! Now finaly I have had some fun ay my bench. Here´s some teasers.. Realised that te rear seat in the Conv. & front seats in the HT where good to use. So I have to do some surgery myself.. move front seats and rear portion from Ht to Conv.interior, cut lose bad seats in Conv. Then assambly them to be in the HT. Build a whole new Kustominterior for the Conv. as it´s more visible.

Fins aren't my cup of tea. Perhaps if the were lower. Interior looks great. When do we see the other interior with the custom seats?

Fins could work I my view if they were of different lengths, the outside ones longer than the inside ones, but play around with it something might pop up and look killer.

I would make some out of thin (020 025) plastic rod to mimic the trim om the top of the front fenders. Three om the front from grill to cowl and a matching three on the rear deck. Blend them in with a finder wipe of putty. I personally would line them up front and rear with the dip in the top of the dash and rear seat. Paul

I will play around a bit with some strips round/half-round. I can see what U say. One issue is that the dip in rear seat is offcenter.. Pictures to come. Using dualside thin tape there will be options..

It's looking good Bob ! I gotta find one of those little gators . I think it's suitable for a Florida-kustom.. Have used my other one in a ElCamino '59. Headrests from amt's "Surf woody"..

Ok. There will be 2 options.. either a plain hood or two paralell body lines as in picture (soft/blended in both front & rear ends) I think there is to much going on in the rear allready but added a vertical fin to fill the gap.. The convert have skirts reworked from Marauder 64 and thinner rockerpanels.

The convert have skirts reworked from Marauder 64 and thinner rockerpanels. The way I do it to get a peaked panel is I use .010 or .015 rod. Run a #11 blade down the length a few times to give it a flat glue side. I put a pencil dot on both ends of the panel for locating each end of the rod. Tack on endto hold in place. Set the other end on the second dot, put a small bit of tension on it to make it run straight. Flow liquid cement down both sides and let dry. It you're using Tamiya grey putty, just put some on a side and run your finger down the rod and the panel. that gives the "flare to blend it in. I wrap 220 or 320 paper around a pencil and lightly sand the putty blend area. Here is a Firebird hood I filled the blower hole in for an example.
