I bought this kit as a completely-stripped-from-the-sprues model on eBay. I will NEVER do that again. Most parts were there, not all. Mainly the fan shroud so now I have holes there. I downloaded the instructions off of a site, so that helped quite a bit.
1956 Ford Victoria AMT kit; 1/25th scale. Dark Green Metallic and Candy Pear
I misplaced the dark green paint somewhere, so anything I needed to spray was done with a close, but not exact, color. I built a 427 Ford motor from one of those engines only kit.

COOL looking 60's build Deuce! I love that metal flake paint job and the back green tinted window. Nice work!

Thanks Sharp! I forgot to mention that many of the parts looked like they had been glued on, then removed at some point, leaving a bit of the part behind on whatever it was glued to. The body, interior, and chassis looked new, but rear springs and several other parts were damaged. It's like the seller went thru his parts bin and put in what he thought should be included. That's why I won't buy one in that condition again. I wanted a 55/56 Ford kit, but they were too expensive new. I've since added TEXAS license plates. Still a little to do under the hood.

Very well done ! I've always liked the '56 body style , too bad the '57 gets all of the attention .
I gotta ask what brand of paint was that metalflake ?

Krylon Shimmer Metallic. I pick up most of my spray paint at a clearance place for $1.99. I also bought an orange version, but I haven't used it yet. I have seen these at Walmart before.

That looks great! I have a few colors of the Shimmer paint, never used it because I thought it was holographic. Gonna use it now though. Great build! Paul

I wasn't sure how it was going to spray, but at $1.99 from my special paint store, I couldn't pass it up.

Beautiful job. I bought some shimmer paint but never used it because of the size of the flakes. Rethinking that after seeing your great results.
