Finished up this really kool Beetle Scooter from C1 Models recently, there are actually these very scooters available for sale in the 1:1, and this little model is a real treat. Been using a lot of that Tamiya Metallic Orange. Added the fishtail exhaust pipe and could have finished the cables off better but the fender lifts off to show the bare scooter so something had to give. What a neat little kit, really went together well, though I modified it some to make the seat and handlebar mounting easier. Thats why the seat is slightly ajar in some of the photos: it isn't firmly glued down to allow the fender to come off and on. And here are a couple of 1/25 Schwinn Stingrays, or approximations of such. A green stock Stingray from the Revell or Monogram woody, and a lowrider modified bike from the AMT Riviera lowrider. Both are challenging to get together and some shortcuts were employed on these, like O-rings for tires on the green one, though they turned out pretty good. Wish I could find some scale Schwinn decals for the green frame. Could really do with some more realistic spokes though. I recall this one was very difficult to get to fit and look right. I forget the details now but it was kind of a hairy bear. The clear extra-spoke wheels actually turned out looking OK with a light silver dry brush. A hairy bear but a fun couple of evenings struggling it to the mat. Thanks for looking! jb
