I've finally calmed down after 4 years to build a new clone of a model of mine stolen at a show in Massachusetts.
Revell 3 window channeled chassis width. Revell 48 Ford front and rear cross members, springs and axles as the 1 to 1 was built with. Adapted the '48 Ford X member with the trans mount lowered 3/32" and moved to the rear the same amount. I made new front motor mounts for the Flathead. Made up a modified stock type firewall and started on an Auburn dash panel. I did the initial cut on the interior tub and some initial interior back date. I'm waiting for my order for .010 and /016 brass sheet to make the bomber seat, fuel tank and misc. interior brackets. Paul

Gonna be a long post.
Got a lot done with the temps down from the 60's to 19 degrees. To big a temp change for me!
Chassis is pretty much done with modified X member, modified 1948 Ford steering box, front brake drums and lines. Most of the engine is done except for more of an angle on the carb tops and linkage. Seems that was done to stop the carbs from siphoning fuel at speed. made up an early Ford solenoid for the starter, Mallory Tach box with wiring, a Mallory hot coil and wiring. Machined and soldered up a hand pressure pump for the fuel system, made up the fuel tank and soldered up a brass "bomber seat". A little final filing and clean up and it's done. Got the bodywork finished and the 1953 Buick Dark Red Metallic on it I mixed up in Ditzler Lacquer. Still needs a final buff out. Dash needs column mount added and the swing pedals pads finished, than paint. chrome and gauge decals. Paul
