Most all think that Sharpie pens are only ink based. I've been using their Paint Pens and their Gel Pens for close to 2 years.
They are available at any office supply store, are OIL based enamel paints. they are fine tipped (.05mm) to large tipped (1.5mm) and come in close to 100 colors, including metallics and a Chrome that is in between Molotow and the old Testers Silver. I've let them dry for a few days and clear coated them with Tamiya Semi Gloss with no issues. Staples has them here in Maine for $3.49 each Michaels has some colors at 25% off . Amazon has most of them also. Paul

Never tried those, probably be great for when Sharpie colors are too translucent. Will have to search some of these out.
