:)Son-in-law cleaned out a closet and I got some free model material. this Cameo was complete and one of the bunch. I don't care for mid 50's Chev trucks, but I need a project. This kit will not be done "NICE". It also won't be a rusty junker. It will probably turn some stomaches Hiram Jr asked Sr. if he could have the old truck behind the barn to 'fool' with. Jr ain't never been off the farm and all he knows is how to fix the combine, but he has come across a couple of magazines when he was in town at the drugstore. I have started this as you all can see, and I have some more already done and can see that I'm not much more knowledgeable than JR is with this kind of truck. I'm trying to put myself in Jr's place and build this with resources that would be at a remote farm by someone with limited car building knowledge and countryfied tastes. This is going to syphon --- I can tell already.

Gettin there. Jr mounted the old farm implement gas tank with some plumber's strap (soda can aluminum) he made a deal with the kid from the feed store for 1 old mag wheel. The rest will be steelies. Jr says one cool wheel is bettern none.

Guy at the feed store told Jr that there was an old grill shell at the 5K salvage yard, so he went and got it. This POS is now done and finish fotos are on the way to my DPMCC Fotki.

That last foto is the done model. I guess I overlooked posting it in the completed section. Here it is in TRaKs 'on the freekin shelf' section. trakinscale.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=on&action=display&thread=3552 This model stuck in the heart of no less than Dave Delova. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse and the truck now resides on Daves shelf alongside some of the most gorgeous models ever builf. It's an honor!
