Monogram 1/24 30 Ford Woody

This kit was first introduced by Monogram in 1965 and since then it has been re-released a few times. Despite the age of the kit the mold quality and fit were excellent. The wire wheels and the front portion of the body were painted in Testors Orange Pearl. Fenders were painted in Duplicolor Corodova Brown Metallic.  The wood panels and interior portions were painted with a combination of Testors wood color along with burnt umber and burnt sierra oil paints to simulate the wood grain. Besides the addition of the prewired distributor; the only other modification I made to the kit was the replacement of the wood panel supports with polystyrene blocks as shown in the last picture.

Yes, I like how the colours complement each other, and at the same time is matching the wood very well.

A kit I didn't like originally, but came to respect over time. The engine and kit wire wheels were some of its best features. The colors you chose go very well together. Clean work!
