Is there any way of getting rid of the white stuff you get with superglue, I ask because I'm trying to do the belly turret on the plane which is moulded in clear I'm using Revell clear glue and it just keeps coming apart when I'm handling it whilst trying to paint it (incidentally how do you manage that it's almost impossible I've had to take it off a load of times as the paint seeps under the masking tape and my hands arnt steady enough to do it free hand) anyway i was thinking of gluing it with superglue if I could get rid of the white vapour stuff you get with it.

Someone once told me that a good way to prevent that white stuff happening when gluing clear parts on super glue would be waxing the clear part with automotive car wax before gluing it on place. I've never tried that myself, so I don't have any experience if it really works or not, but maybe it would be a good idea to try for some extra clear part that's just laying around. This looks like a cool project! I have a couple of airplane kits myself, too so I'll be taking notes on how to build them.

Thanks mate, apparently as I've been informed elsewhere if you dip the part in future or varnish it, it will prevent the fogging with ca glue so I'm going to give that a go.

Looking good from here KP. Excellent detail throughout. Probably too late for this project but have you considered one of the spray on metal finish paint products for future builds?

Those spray on finishes (I'm my experience anyway) tend to be very fragile (or maybe it's my ham fistedness.

I think you have a good base to work with there KP. Might I suggest a few deep washes(oily blacks and browns} then a dry brushing with various metallic shades to pick out details?
